Africa Cloud Service Provider of the Year Award

Honours the achievements of the leading company in the highly competitive Cloud Services sector during the previous 18 months. The solution provider could be a Public Cloud provider, Datacentre or Telco operator, or creator of cloud operational tools, enabling high-volume, elastic public or hybrid cloud solutions with high reliability. Whether servicing a mass market for tens of thousands of Virtual Private Clouds users, Virtual Machine, Container or Micro-Services based, or enabling enterprise operations for complex workloads in hybrid or public cloud - the winner must demonstrate proven reliability and competitive performance.

  1. Innovation. Please describe how your solution innovates in this competitive sector? What are your proof points? How do you meet the demands of complex, elastic cloud scenarios?
  2. Effectiveness. Why is your solution different from the competition and deserves recognition? Demonstrate how your solution effectively enables the most challenging or demanding cloud workloads with clear metrics such as scale, performance, elasticity, physical resource optimization, public cloud peering, resilience and ‘no touch’ automation

New Data Centre of the Year Award: Africa

Honours the achievements of the leading company in the launching a new data centre during the last 18 months in Africa.

  1. Please describe how your new data centre innovates in this competitive sector? What are your proof points?
  2. Effectiveness. Why is your data centre different from the competition and deserves recognition?
  3. Leadership. What are the business benefits, illustrated by customer case studies that proves you are a market leader?

Global Connectivity for Africa Innovator of the Year

Innovation in delivering superior service and experience in connectivity and interconnections driving the interconnection eco-system. Entrants can include, but are not limited to, Carriers, Datacentre Operators, Cloud Providers or Interconnection Exchange Points

  1. Provide evidence of quantifiable, proven ability to deliver innovative, ultra-high scale, connectivity for Africa.
  2. Describe how you meet or exceed the most stringent user demand for availability, scalability, coverage, innovation and latency
  3. Demonstrate the delivery of business effectiveness, cost effectiveness, business agility and high levels of customer experience to users.

Africa Data Centre Location of the Year Award

Recognizing development agencies, governments and trade associations that have promoted and positioned their location to attract data centre investment in Africa.

  1. Explain what you’ve done in respect of legislation and regulatory factors to position your location for data centre investment.
  2. How are you helping the data centre build process in respect of issues such as power procurement, zoning and land availability.
  3. Demonstrate how you are promoting your location to attract data centre investment.

Africa Data Centre Energy Innovator of the Year

Honours the achievements of the leading company in energy innovation for data centres during the last 18 months in Africa.
