Our infrastructure asset base and services drive digital transformation across our two service pillars: Carrier and Wholesale, and, Consumer and Enterprise. We also have a clear investment framework guiding our smart digital infrastructure rollout to deliver a geo-redundant ecosystem.
We provide wholesale carrier-to-carrier traffic within Kenya and the region and our backhaul network provides a backbone to any ISP, linking points of presence across large geographical areas. Our backbone infrastructure is also delivered through multiple inland cable routes and we light up more than 10,000 km of terrestrial fibre cabling to serve as a key conduit for broadband connectivity inland.
Telkom’s carrier-neutral smart data centre solution gives our clients diverse fibre entry points, eliminating single points of failure. As the premier landing partner and host to numerous independent subsea cable systems for the East African region, we offer a smart, diversified gateway to the world. Our landing stations also provide route diversity, reducing latency, and increasing bandwidth capacity across Europe, Asia, and Africa. Telkom is also a direct investor in multiple cable systems. Through our digital financial services platform, T-Kash, we also provide the rails for essential service payments.
We believe that a digital lifestyle is a basic human right and as the infrastructure backbone of Kenya’s digital future and strategic gateway into the region, we are committed to bridging the divide.
